this is going to be a OMG ranting post, you might want to ignore this.
it was a holiday last thursday, and i went out for a day.
and the ecomm class on friday was cancelled, not my fault, the lecturer cancelled it.

This week, replacement classes takes place. On top of that, Dr Cate, the lecturer from University of Adelaide, paid a visit to us and will be giving us lectures and tutorials for ecommerce this week.
The thing is, there is also a replacement for last week's lecture.
My schedule was, after including the replacement (in green) and all:
Monday: Accounting tutorial, Microecons (cancelled, replace on wednesday)
Tuesday: Ecommerce lecture, accounting lecture
Wednesday: Microecons lecture, Finance lecture, Ecomm lecture (Dr Cate)
Thursday: Microecons tutorial, Ecomm lecture (Dr Cate), Accounting tutorial
Friday: Ecomm lab+tutorial (Dr Cate), Finance tutorial

this are all OK, i'm fine with the timetable + replacement. The Ecomm lecture today turned out to be about exam preparation and all, given by Dr Cate.
After listening to what she said, one of my friends felt like discontinuing next semester. =(

By the way, my intake will be the LAST intake for Bachelor of Commerce, collab with Uni of Adelaide, because Uni of Adelaide has decided to stop collaborating with Inti.
They think that the lecturers here are not good enough (those over at Aus are PhD holders) and as the cost of studying over here is cheaper and you'll get a degree by Uni of Adelaide anyway, the lecturers from Adelaide thinks that it's not cost worthy for them to travel all the way here to give us lecture. It's been a 'tradition' for each subject's lecturer to travel over here during our semester and give us lectures + tutorials for a week or so.
Again, these are just my guesses. They might be correct though =S
Is it Inti at fault that they didn't attract enough students for this program?
There were only nearly 20 of us in a class. NEARLY 20, depending on the subject.
The ever-increasing tuition fees of Australia education is a headache to some of my seniors, and us juniors as well.
The fees for 2008 was approximately A$16k+ for a semester, and next year, 2009, it will be $23k+.
An increase of about A$7k = nearly an increase of RM20k.
pretty ridiculous =.=

Most of us enter this course because
"Uni of Adelaide, it's in the Group of 8"
"A chance to go overseas to experience at a slightly cheaper price"
"I want to get a PR in Aus"
"Job opportunity of studying this is high"
"I want to get CPA, blablabla"

With the ever increasing fees, some of my seniors are considering to change to Monash Uni (Malaysia) during their second year. They might need to retake some subjects, because not sure if what they studied here are recognised or not.

Seeing someone breakdown because of studies makes me feel heartbroken as well.
I don't dare to cry, i don't think i've ever cried over study problems. Most of the time i cried are because of pain inflicted on my body (fell down, injuries, injection LOL)

I've been trying my best to scrape through each tutorials, and read before i go for lecture although sometimes i couldn't read on time. Assignments are piling up, and when i thought ICT was not useful at all, i think it's going to help me a GREAT LOT during a SMALL part of ecommerce.
The Lab teacher is so blur that there's is going to be an Excel exam next week. All he taught last week was about the functions in Excel. (print, open, sum, blablabla)
I'm not blaming him, some of my classmate might not know about it, but isn't he progressing a bit too slow =.=
and for next week's exam there will be formatting, Vlookup, Hloookup, NestedIf (I HATE THIS), If, Sum, Count, DateDiff and etc.
it contributes a darn 15% to my marks =X
Although i've learned this during ICT at A-levels, which i've dropped the subject halfway, it's still not easy. Some of my friends don't even know about them. =(

Done ranting, i'm going to read and do my microecons tutorial.
Lecture today, tutorial due tomorrow. Accounting tutorial as well, but i've done it yesterday *proud*
whereas Ecommerce and Finance tutorial due on Friday. Haven't read the questions yet.


I'm so going to be sleep-deprived.....
(how can i say that when i overslept until my friend called me and i jumped out of bed)
